Now Hiring! General Manager

Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op is a thriving community-owned cooperative in Ukiah, California. What started as a buying club in the mid-70s is now a full-service grocery store that serves as the center of a vibrant food, arts, and cultural scene in the picturesque Russian River watershed.

The co-op seeks an innovative leader with experience building strong and high-functioning teams, working collaboratively, solving complex problems, and leading through change. Our next GM brings a track record of success in the retail grocery industry and fresh ideas for what the future of Ukiah Natural Foods might look like.

Ukiah is a small and diverse community of 16,000 located in the North Coast region of California. With clean air and water, diverse recreational opportunities, wineries, and proximity to the Pacific Coast and the San Francisco Bay Area, this community offers something for everyone. The city boasts picturesque landscapes, parks, trails, a thriving local arts scene, and a good variety of public, charter, and private schools all with a small community feel.

The Co-op strives to accommodate the diverse diets of our customers, while contributing to environmentally-sound food production through its commitment to organics, local and regional food, goods, and services sourcing, and healthy lifestyles. The GM oversees all aspects of co-op operations including finance and planning, operations, personnel, and marketing. They also cultivate our relationships in the Ukiah community and promote our core values of integrity, quality, customer service, community, leadership, and prosperity.

The GM reports to the Board of Directors who are elected by the members and are responsible for governing the co-op as well as oversight and delegation to the GM.
