Our business objective is to meet the HVAC equipment, service and building automation needs of our customers by combining these individual elements into a coordinated offering given with the highest quality.

Role: HVAC Journeyman

We are searching for an experienced HVAC Journeyman to help support the growing service business. You'll specialize in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management. You must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable and have good customer service skills. This role would service our Wilmington/Philadelphia/King of Prussia/ South NJ areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC and control systems, apply extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems, and ability to test service and maintain these systems.
  • Provide field recommendations for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment. Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
  • Interfaces with Service manager, project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities.
  • Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. May assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
  • Perform Startup and trains the customer in HVAC Equipment and control systems operations. In addition to mechanical system startup, setup configurable controllers and complete manufacturer and all BSS job specific documentation and submit to the office.
  • Knowledge and use of manufacturer/vendor websites and catalogs in order to find technical documentation, and replacement parts stock numbers as well as advise customers on substitution or modification of replacement parts.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires Journeyman Certificate from Apprenticeship Program
  • Requires minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing HVAC systems.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Professional neat appearance and presentation.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotation as necessary
  • Ability to operate fork truck
  • HVAC Journeyman Certificate
  • NATE certification
  • EPA Refrigeration License
  • Valid driver's license
  • BSS & Customer Jobsites Require passing Criminal Background Checks and Drug Testing
