Position Summary:

 

The PMO Manager at Bentley Systems will lead a team of Project Managers within the region, ensuring they follow processes and deliver projects on time/budget to Bentley Users. As a PMO Manager, you will drive your PM team to align with company strategies, giving the right priorities and guiding in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a diverse and virtually organized team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to meet both team and company objectives
  • Manage team members’ assignments and schedules to meet utilization targets and balance workload
  • Assign the right Project Manager to the right account, depending on personal characteristics, seniority, and workload
  • Ensure projects within your region are delivered on time/budget
  • Perform periodic project reviews to ensure company processes are followed
  • Prepare and maintain a development plan for each team member
  • Manage first-level escalations, being able to escalate further if/when needed
  • Foster communication and collaboration within your team and across the PMO
  • Report business status, risks, and issues to the PMO director
  • Empower team members to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, creating accountability.
  • Provide performance evaluations for the team through structured performance appraisals and regular feedback.
  • Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall Bentley mission and values.
  • Travel to customer sites, user conferences, and internal meetings may be required up to 20%
  • This is a full-time individual contributor role, which involves significant collaboration and coordination with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions. Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related industry degree required.
  • Strong experience (7+ years) as a Project Manager is required.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team in a virtual environment required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% is required.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think strategically as well as implement tactically
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills; ability to quickly adapt and react to changing circumstances and demands with close attention to detail.
