Overview
Job Summary
The Finance Intern opportunity focuses on government reimbursement, revenue analysis, and related financial functions within a dynamic, multi-state healthcare organization. This role offers valuable exposure to the complexities of the healthcare system's financial management across Baptist's organization in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
Job Responsibilities
• Analysis and research related to patient accounts to ensure proper accounting
• Analysis of root causes of incorrect or denied insurance payments
• Projects involving gathering data to make appropriate month end closing entries
• Projects dealing with revenue optimization
• Completes assigned goals
Minimum Required Education
Be working towards a Degree in Accounting with substantial coursework completed or Graduate Student with Accounting Degree. Some upper division coursework. Other degrees and coursework will be considered.
Minimum Required Training
Proficient in spreadsheets and other software/technology solutions
Minimum Required Special Skills
Strong analytical skills. Good communication skills. Detail Oriented with good time management skills. Interested in working for a mission based community organization.
