Our Brentwood, TN office is seeking an Intern to join our team. This internship provides an exceptional opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in wealth management to gain hands-on experience supporting both client service and operational functions within a growing advisory practice. The intern will work closely with financial advisors and team members on client reviews, account administration, and key business initiatives. Key takeaways from this role include developing an understanding of wealth management operations, gaining exposure to client relationships and financial planning processes, and building practical skills using industry technology and CRM systems. This position is ideal for students aspiring to build a career in wealth management, financial planning, or advisory operations. We're specifically seeking candidates who reside in the Brentwood, TN area.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour.

Primary Job Functions

Prepare Client Review Packets

  • Gather client data and materials in preparation for client reviews
  • Prepare client review packets for the advisory team
  • Create summary letters for client reviews

Update Client Information

  • Update client background and financial information in Salesforce after each client review
  • Scan and upload documents into the Salesforce cloud
  • Client service task creation and confirmation in Salesforce
  • Data entry projects, including auditing and updating Salesforce data

Miscellaneous Office Projects

  • Support the team with ad hoc projects relating to office management, report generation, and administration
  • Perform data integrity audits in various software
  • Miscellaneous preparation of documents, organizing of client files, scanning, email and phone communication, and use of technology

Education/Qualifications

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university degree program to be eligible for an internship. Candidates who have already graduated or will graduate before the start of the summer intern program are not eligible.
  • Preferably pursuing bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Preferably students that will be graduating in December 2026 or April 2027.
  • Looking for those with industry certifications and past experience or internships in financial services.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as the Intern level is $38,700.00 to$ 54,200.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
