Deliver playbooks, onboarding, role certifications, and operating cadences. Executive alignment - operationalize the EDGC. Keep executive domain owners engaged through clear business value metrics.

  • Framework Execution: Translate enterprise data policies into automated, shift-left controls directly embedded within modern data platform deployment pipelines. Drive standard execution across data classification, lifecycle retention, schema definitions, and automated Data Contracts between producers and consumers. Integrate governance gates directly into the Scaffold/DPX medallion architecture.

  • Data Quality, Observability, & Data Product Certification: Define enterprise data quality standards, operationalize observability tools, and enforce strict certification criteria for Gold-tier data assets.

  • AI Governance Contribution & Semantic Trust: Partner with the Enterprise AI Governance team to ensure trusted, privacy-compliant data feeds directly power AI models, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks.

  • Metadata, Lineage, & Enterprise Catalog: Drive enterprise data catalog adoption, establish metadata curation standards, and deliver transparent end-to-end data lineage across systems.

  • Cross Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and GRC to ensure governance policies fulfill global regulatory obligations (GDPR, CCPA). Work closely with Cloud Platform and IT teams to embed governance rules into automated deployment pipelines. Enable domain teams in AECO and Field Systems to move fast safely without creating central approval bottlenecks.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise data management, with 7+ years leading data governance practices in distributed, federated environments.

  • Proven success establishing operational governance practices, steward enablement networks, and facilitating executive steering bodies.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate policies into automated pipeline controls, quality gates, and data contracts.

  • Strong technical fluency with modern data stacks including Snowflake, enterprise catalogs like Atlan, Monte Carlo observability, and dbt.

  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with a direct, concise, and metric-driven communication style.

Bonus Points For:

  • Hands-on experience contributing data trust inputs to dedicated AI Governance or AI Safety frameworks.

  • Experience operating within Data Mesh or Data-as-a-Product topologies, alongside exposure to Master Data Management tools like Reltio.
