Job description

BASIC FUNCTION

The basic functions of a Project Engineer Assistant are to help Team leaders assigned to run the job to: plan, and document changes on the job so that each project or job executed as estimated to produce the desired results contained in the estimate. In essence, the Team Leader and the Project Engineer work in very close communication during the job.

This is a Full-Time position: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Be available to manage and complete any job, as and when assigned.

Continually review all materials and labor costs that must be used in completing jobs and purchase materials according to the bid.

Adhere to all established construction and engineering standards and procedures to protect the interests of the Company and seek out opportunities to improve methods, processes, procedures, and suppliers to best benefit the company.

As and when requested, train new employees.

Submit work or activity reports according to Company policy.

As and when requested review plans, estimated material, supplies, and labor cost.

Maintain good, business-like relations with other trades, suppliers, and clients.

Ensure that all records relating to and flowing through the estimating function, are filed properly and easily accessible only by authorized personnel.

Protect confidential company estimating data, programs, and information, restricting access only to company employees duly authorized by the president.

Perform all other tasks assigned by Project engineer or Office Manager
