Job description

Loureiro Building Construction, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in New Hampshire.

This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial construction projects for a self-performing general contractor. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Loureiro Building Construction, LLC is a contractor with extensive experience in design/build, general contracting, and construction management, with the ability to self-perform across all market sectors. Our in-house capabilities include site work, concrete, carpentry, and select finish trades.

What You’ll Do
    • Assisting with project planning and scheduling
    • Preparing and processing subcontracts and purchase orders
    • Attending and recording project meetings
    • Preparing change orders, submittals, and maintaining submittal logs
    • Managing subcontractors and material suppliers
    • Reviewing daily reports
    • Record keeping and documentation of all aspects of the relative projects
    • Reviewing subcontractor requisitions for accuracy, in conjunction with the Project Management team.
    • Assisting with attaining substantial and final project completion on time and within budget.
    • May assist Estimators, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents throughout all phases of projects, including performing quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes, scheduling, submittals, reviewing & coordinating subcontractor/material supplier quotes/subcontracts/PO’s, preparing project-specific health & safety documents

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • 6 months to 3 years of construction or project management experience
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, processes, and project coordination
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Procore and Bluebeam
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including active job sites
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and computers
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrains
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
