Development Manager – Industrial Real Estate

North Toronto / York Region | Full-Time | In-Office


Our client is a well-established and growing real estate development company with a strong portfolio of industrial assets across the GTA, alongside select commercial and residential developments. Due to continued growth and an active pipeline, they are looking to add a Development Manager to their team in North Toronto/York Region.


This is an excellent opportunity for a development professional seeking long-term career stability, exposure to a diverse portfolio, and the ability to take ownership of projects through the full development lifecycle.


The Opportunity

Reporting into the VP of Development, the Development Manager will oversee projects from early-stage planning and approvals, zoning and through to project completion and occupancy. The role requires someone commercially minded, hands-on, and confident managing multiple stakeholders throughout the development process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through the full development lifecycle,
  • Lead planning and entitlement processes including rezoning, SPA, consultant coordination, and municipal approvals
  • Coordinate architects, planners, engineers, contractors, and external consultants
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, reporting, and risk management
  • Work closely with internal leadership on project strategy and execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Assist with due diligence, site analysis, and development proformas where required.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing industrial development projects, ideally with exposure to commercial and/or residential assets
  • Strong understanding of the full development cycle from planning approvals through to building completion
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with municipalities and external consultants across the GTA
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle, with the ability to travel to project sites as needed
