Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and leading small to medium scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of project types, with a focus on the higher education, healthcare and civic/municipal markets.
Primary Functions
  • Assist market leader with developing fees, project work plans and schedules for proposals.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with client and subconsultants.
  • Manage client relationship through project development and execution.
  • Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.
  • Supervise the technical team during preparation of design development and construction documents.
  • Lead the coordination of in-house engineers and outside consultants.
  • Develop front-end specifications with input from the client.
  • Oversee construction administration and closeout efforts by the team.
  • Serve as project manager/project architect if required for as-needed work with key clients.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education
Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.
Desired Skills/ Experience
  • 15+ years of experience, preferred.
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Experience in Deltek or similar project planning and budgeting software.
  • Knowledge of Revit and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
