GreenSpark Solar is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Project Manager to join our team! In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the full lifecycle of commercial installation projects. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from scope development and contracting to engineering, construction, and project close-out/commissioning, ensuring alignment with stakeholder commitments and company financial goals. You will report directly to the Manager of Commercial Project Management. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience and a solid understanding of the solar industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Direct and manage all project personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers from initial planning through to project close-out. Ensure seamless coordination and execution of project phases.

  • Quality Control & Progress Reporting: Schedule and conduct site inspections to monitor quality and progress before, during, and after construction. Provide detailed progress reports and address any issues promptly.

  • Performance Tracking: Track and measure project progress, timelines, and milestones against established plans and budgets. Ensure that all project deliverables are met within scope and financial parameters.

  • Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate multiple vendors, subcontractors, and engineers across various projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to schedules.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and document project risks. Develop and implement contingency plans and manage any changes to scope, schedule, and cost effectively.

  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Promote and uphold company safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Document and track compliance to ensure high standards are consistently met.

  • Client Relations: Deliver exceptional project management services in alignment with client expectations. Strengthen and maintain strong client relationships and manage stakeholder needs effectively.

  • Task Prioritization: Prioritize and delegate tasks across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and successful project delivery.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred, including at least 2 years in project management. A strong background in Engineering, Procurement, and Contracting (EPC) is essential, with a minimum of 3 years of solar industry experience (strongly preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional or equivalent (strongly preferred).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (strongly preferred).

Proficient in reviewing multi-trade construction drawings and understanding construction best practices.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on maintaining project budgets, schedules, and documentation. Detail-oriented with a process-driven approach.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. Familiarity with Netsuite or equivalent ERP systems is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This role is primarily sedentary and it is estimated 75% of this position will be performed remotely, and 25% in person. It is expected you will visit job sites 1-2x per month.

    • Level II - $84,000 - $105,000
