Position Summary

The Master Data Coordinator leads the development and streamlining of master data processes at IKI and reports to the head of R&D. This role is responsible for defining, documenting, and monitoring master data requirements for key areas such as finished goods, raw materials, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure high data quality. This position oversees all master data, including material master records and BOMs in SAP.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry, collection, sorting, profiling, manipulation, and maintenance of master data in SAP.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish and maintain standards for consistent data entry.
  • Drive data quality initiatives by standardizing processes, governing data, and developing dashboards and reports in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Assign and maintain new part numbers in SAP, ensuring accurate records of all changes.
  • Communicate updates or issues effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Research data issues and provide solutions.
  • Lead data creation, versioning, consolidation, and remediation efforts across key business domains, including finished goods, raw materials, blends and BOMs.
  • Utilize processes and tools to execute data migration and ensure effective master data management procedures.
  • Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production material records in SAP, ensuring all engineering, procurement, and supplier changes are accurately captured.
  • Support the development and enforcement of records and data management policies and procedures.
  • Manage the material master, including creating, activating, obsoleting, and updating parts throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assists with approving specifications based on customer requirements.
  • Sources cues from customer communications and portals to manage updates on our SAP.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more functional domains with SAP related to data creation, specification literacy, and customer communication
  • Ability to lead the gathering and internal routing processes
  • Ability to plan, measure, and report progress on projects or business initiatives
  • Detail oriented individual who will prioritize and advocate for data accuracy
  • Experience with Manufacturing BOMs
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and effective time management skills
  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
  • Investigate and resolve SAP master data issues, submit data changes and report system problems promptly
Knowledge and Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to perform functional configuration of from material establishment to BOM creation
  • Hands‐on experience with mass data loading and maintenance tools preferred
  • Advanced to expert level knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, SAP
Work Environment

Primarily office environment, trips to production will require proper PPE and safety precautions
