What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will lead project controls for multiple small capital projects, including cost control, forecasting, scheduling, risk management, and purchase-to-pay from proposal through close-out
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track costs against forecasts, identify variances, and partner with project managers to implement corrective actions
  • Forecast cash flow and expenditures based on project progress, vendor payments, and contractor performance, and assess impacts of commitments and invoice timing
  • Identify cost risks and critical issues early, and work with the team to create and execute recovery plans
  • Deliver clear reporting, including progress updates, variance analysis, and cost and schedule forecasts, and actively support project and portfolio review meetings
  • You will manage change processes to ensure all changes are documented, evaluated, and reflected in project plans and estimates; coordinate with contractors and conduct site visits as needed
  • Establish and maintain project controls plans, including contingency management tied to the work breakdown structure, and apply PMI principles and best practices
  • Also you will drive continuous improvement, uphold safety and ethical standards, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly with stakeholders while supporting team development

What makes you great
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least three (3) years of experience in project controls or scheduling
  • Experience supporting project controls in construction or turnaround environments is a plus
  • PMP and/or AACE Certified Cost Engineer certification is preferred
  • You have working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera (P6) is preferred
  • Solid understanding of cost control, scheduling, progress tracking, and risk management practices (AACEi standards)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and database systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects and travel up to 15%
