Project Controls EngineerSeattle, WA – Fully OnsiteThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls within R&D and engineering projects, preferably in highly regulated industries. This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project controls systems, providing accurate project performance reporting, and supporting effective project execution.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and analyze cost variances.Earned Value Management (EVM): Implement and maintain EVM systems, analyze project performance using EVM metrics (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI, EAC, Client, VAC), and provide timely reporting to project stakeholders.Risk Management: Support project risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular project performance reports, including schedule updates, cost reports, and risk assessments.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving project controls processes and tools.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project control and execution.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.10+ years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer, preferably in R&D and engineering projects.Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principlesExperience with EVM implementation and reporting.Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.Nice to HavePMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification is preferred.Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, or pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred.Experience with Power BI or similar is preferred.
