Job description

Otak is seeking a Senior Consultant and Controls Manager to support and help lead major transportation and infrastructure projects/programs in Washington. We are looking for a high-performing construction and engineering professional with a strong foundation in program management and large project execution, must have construction and/or manufacturing experience delivering large, complex capital programs. Experience working with executive and senior management scheduling, project requirements, controls, data analytics, on process improvement preferred. Seeking a candidate with the ambition to take the next step into a leadership role. Join a team trusted to deliver high-profile transportation and infrastructure projects for some of our region's most prominent public agencies.
The position requires the ability to work on-site in the greater Seattle area.
How You'll Contribute :
  • Drive planning, communications, and reporting across major capital transportation and infrastructure programs, supporting projects, initiatives, organization development, change management and controls.
  • Develop, maintain, control and analyze project schedules while monitoring project health, measuring progress, and identifying potential risks.
  • Coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve day-to-day challenges and keep projects, programs and initiatives on track.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and project metrics that support executive decision-making and provide meaningful insight into project performance.
  • Lead stakeholder coordination and facilitate communication between planning, design, construction and operations teams, clients, and maintenance staff throughout delivery.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the Project Controls practice.

The Strengths You Bring :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience delivering major capital transportation, heavy civil, manufacturing or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Experience leading significant portions of projects exceeding $500 million is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building schedules, coordinating teams, evaluating risk, solving field, operation, staffing and project execution challenges, and driving successful outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of contract, cost and schedule controls, constructability, value engineering, reporting and major capital delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, stakeholder coordination, analytical, team problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with field teams, clients, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to translate complex project data into meaningful reporting that supports informed decision-making.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required.
