What You Can Expect

The Project Associate Manager has the responsibility of managing the details of the assigned project plans including identify project requirements, develop project schedules, assess project resource needs, document quality requirements, prepare project reports, lead project team meetings, produce project status updates, identify and mitigate project issues and risks under the leadership and governance of the Project Management Office (PMO) Director. This role will utilize strong project, task, and resource management experiences and skills to assist the organization in achieving its goals of executing projects on time, on budget, and within defined scope. In performing these responsibilities, this position will work closely with business leaders and project members to assess and track the various activities and resources required for successful project delivery. The position will utilize various project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Power BI to develop, monitor, and communicate project plans, project status, and overall business benefits.

We would like to see this role work a hybrid-type schedule having onsite presence at our Warsaw, Indiana campus at least 2 days weekly.

How You'll Create Impact
  • Lead and provide project management capability for implementation of small to large scale solutions through the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, the organization of project implementation teams, the establishment of and adherence to project budget management, and the effective and timely execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain the Master Project Plan and Schedule.
  • Responsible for the achievement of project milestones and metrics. Responsible for ensuring governance and compliance of the PMO methodology and related objectives.
  • Collect and analyze the performance of the projects by collecting data for key metrics, including performance to budget, and regularly reporting out performance via dashboards and other appropriate, efficient, and progressive methods.
  • Lead and ensure the documentation and tracking of project reviews.
  • Ensure proactive mitigation and escalation of concerns, risks, issues, project dependencies, scope change, and project conflicts.
  • Assist and coordinate change management activities.
  • Provide consulting services and project management support to other functions and initiatives globally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, Human Resources, etc. to ensure effective business case development, establishment of and adherence to project budget, tracking of relevant project metrics, achievement of expected outcomes, adherence to quality assurance and regulatory compliance requirements, creation of technical documentation, execution of testing activities, and the design and management of security requirements both technological and otherwise.
  • Act as a change agent for continuous improvement efforts related to project delivery.
  • Identify, develop, and share best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree, MBA preferred) in Science, Engineering, IT, Project Management, or a related field and 4+years of related project management experience required.
  • Commensurate combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Manufacturing operations experience and leading multiple cross-functional and inter-site project teams with results-oriented performance.
  • Project management certification (such as PMP or CAPM) or formal training strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with project management software such as Smartsheet, MS Project, and Planview PPM.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strongly prefer candidates with intermediate to advanced experience developing, customizing, and managing data and reports using Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel Power Query.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification preferred.
  • Experience in medical device regulatory environment or another regulatory environment preferred.
Travel Expectations
  • Up to 20%. Global travel may be required.
