The Opportunity

Explore Limitless Possibilities - Help protect and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Vancouver Island while contributing to meaningful projects that balance development, environmental stewardship, and Indigenous interests. As a Project Coordinator with our Heritage and Archaeology team, you will play a key role in supporting archaeological assessments, heritage investigations, regulatory compliance, and project delivery across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, energy, transportation, natural resource, and community development projects. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with archaeologists, Indigenous Nations, multidisciplinary professionals, clients, and regulators while building your career in heritage resource management.


Your Impact

  • Coordinate archaeological and heritage projects from initiation through completion, supporting successful project delivery across Vancouver Island and British Columbia.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and resource coordination to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Support senior archaeologists and project managers in preparing technical reports, permit applications, proposals, and regulatory submissions.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, Indigenous Nations, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and commitments to help maintain high-quality project execution and client service.
  • Contribute to field programs by organizing logistics, coordinating resources, and supporting archaeological assessments and heritage investigations.
  • Maintain project documentation, records, and data management systems that support compliance and defensible project outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams while identifying opportunities to improve project performance, collaboration, and service delivery.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma or degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Heritage Studies, Environmental Science, Geography, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting environmental, archaeological, cultural heritage, consulting, engineering, or resource management projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating project documentation, budgets, invoices, reports, or administrative project controls.
  • Knowledge of British Columbia archaeological and heritage resource management processes is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical specialists, Indigenous Nations, clients, and regulators.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project tracking tools.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to support occasional field activities and travel throughout Vancouver Island and British Columbia.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $60,100 - $79,600
MB & ON: $54,800 - $75,400
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $54,200 - $72,000
