Project Assistant
1 year contract (to direct hire)
Location: Onsite in Kansas City, MO
Compensation: $23-24/hr
*Must be able to pass background and drug screening
Position Summary
Our team is looking for a Project Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative and project support for a fast-paced office environment. This position will help keep projects organized by managing documents, coordinating schedules, tracking information, and assisting project leaders with various operational tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintain project records, files, and tracking systems
Support document management and organize project documentation
Monitor shared project inboxes and assist with communication flow
Help update reports, spreadsheets, and project status information
Assist with meeting coordination, scheduling, and conference room reservations
Take meeting notes and distribute follow-up information when needed
Prepare reports, presentations, memos, and other documents
Coordinate travel arrangements and office logistics
Order office supplies and assist with equipment setup requests
Maintain department calendars and team contact information
Assist with weekly timesheets and administrative reporting
Provide general support to project managers and internal teams
Help with special projects and additional office tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience in administrative support, project coordination, office support, or similar roles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
Professional communication skills and strong follow-through
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-moving environment
