We have an immediate need for an experienced, on-site Project Superintendent for a Commercial Construction project located in the greater Lansing area. 
The Primary Focus and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Provide construction Management/Superintendent services throughout the course of construction
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and service providers
• Assist in the development of cost estimates and pre-construction Planning
• Assemble work scope for required subcontractors
• Support in bidding processes, subcontractor outreach, and proposal preparation
• Review plans and other technical documents 
• Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project  
• Monitor costs and project progress 
  o Maintain Project Buy-Out Summary
• Maintain control of all project documentation  
  o Dropbox
  o Procore Construction Management Software
• Create, manage, and track RFI’s from the field to the architect/engineer of record  
• Maintain/update project records, including schedules
• Lead project team with conflict resolution between owner, contractors and subcontractor  
• Turn in and track submittals from subcontractors to A/E for approval  
• Understand appropriate building codes/ regulations  
• Coordinate project change-order management, creation, and negotiation 
• Conduct and document weekly project owner’s meetings/decisions 
• Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination 
• Assist the project team with closeout of the project 
• Assist the accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications
This is a greenfield to turn-key project, so prior experience with similar projects is highly desired. Strong knowledge of the local commercial construction environment (vendors, labor pool, permitting, etc.) is a must. In addition to field responsibilities, this position must represent SFV Services in a professional manner when dealing with site personnel and the project owner.
Requirements:
• 5-50 years in commercial construction (work in residential or civil/mega scale is not applicable to this role)
• 5+ years as a site Superintendent, Site Project Manager, or on-site Owners Representative with prior construction management experience
• Greenfield to turn-key experience
• People and Project Management skills
• Strong computer skills
• Exceptional experience meeting budget and schedules
• The ability to anticipate and deal with unexpected blockages with grace and dignity
 
The anticipated schedule for this project is 9 months, with follow-up projects for this same customer in additional locations for the right candidate. These follow-on projects will involve travel. 
Compensation: This role is budgeted at $2,500 weekly (non-negotiable) and includes full SFV Services benefits.
