JOB DESCRIPTION:  COOK

Summary:

Provides an outstanding guest service experience in an enthusiastic and energetic fashion while meeting or exceeding guests expectations

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepares food items according to our standards
  • Adhere to all safe food handling and health department guidelines
  • Follow all safe food handling and equipment procedures during cooking
  • Clean and stock cook line thoroughly throughout the shift
  • Complete prep tasks as needed in accordance with recipe, procedure, quality and speed standards.
  • Utilize proper utensils, scoops, ladles to contribute to positive food costs
  • Assist management in proper food storage, receiving, stocking and rotation, abiding by dating procedures
  • Work closely and communicate with both BOH and FOH team members during high pace.
  • Complete opening and/or closing duties
  • Back up DMO functions as requested
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent Guest Service skills
  • Ability to follow menu specifications, read tickets and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to follow directions, work in a fast paced, customer responsive environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates and management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable food safety regulations
  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Minimum lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 75 pounds
