We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of mechanical projects from planning through closeout.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and running efficiently by:

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Support the planning, execution, and closeout of commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
  • Coordinate activities between field personnel, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Process permits and schedule required inspections.
  • Maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical deadlines.
  • Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes and action items.
  • Maintain project files, drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
  • Assist with project startup, turnover, and closeout activities.

Financial & Operational Support

  • Track job costs and assist with budget management.
  • Process and track change orders, purchase orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Review and approve weekly field employee timecards.
  • Create project closeout documentation and operation manuals.
  • Maintain virtual job boards and project records.

Customer & Team Support

  • Coordinate travel, lodging, and logistics for project teams.
  • Support sales leads and business development efforts.
  • Assist with conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Support company safety initiatives and project-specific safety requirements.


What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Equivalent combination of education and construction/project coordination experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, estimating, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Mechanical, piping, plumbing, or industrial construction experience strongly preferred.
