The Program Director has direct oversight of the assigned site’s program’s operations. This position will lead and direct all quality management activities, assist with community collaboration, and work with those in organizational leadership positions, to help build and maintain outstanding mental health programs with a caring and dedicated staff. The Program Director will supervise the clinical staff, plan and develop programs, and ensure the facility has all the resources necessary to ensure smooth functioning, while maintaining the organization’s culture and compliance with policies and procedures.

Job Functions:

  • Act as liaison between NewPsych’s senior management, and the assigned facility by attending necessary meetings and keeping lines of communication open.
  • Act as liaison between the community and the facility by creating a positive image and networking with appropriate organizations.
  • Plan, schedule and implement partial-care, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs to improve quality of life for NewPsych’s clients.
  • Work with senior management to recruit, attract and retain high-quality staff for the facility.
  • Work with the senior management to hire, train, supervise and professionally develop staff.
  • Ensure that all state regulations are translated into program policies.
  • Oversee, approve and monitor budgets for each program.
  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork for accreditation and analysis are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Understand, implement and ensure that NewPsych’s organizational policies, procedures and goals are followed.
  • Responsible for making program and administrative recommendations to enhance the fulfillment of NewPsych’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead and direct all quality management activities for the site including patient care and relations, JACHO and other licensure accreditation compliance, risk management and safety, performance improvement and infection control.
  • Develop strategic plans and policies for improved quality and work with management to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of NewPsych’s current practices to identify treatment alternatives and strategies for delivery of programs and individualized services.
  • Actively works with the marketing department to market programs through a variety of mechanisms including, but not limited to presentations, meeting with referral sources, development of marketing strategies, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, management/human resources training preferred.
  • Maryland full licensure in good standing
  • At least five years of previous experience in implementing mental health programs on the clinical level.
  • The ability to implement organizational goals with an off-site location.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work with both the community and senior management.
  • Outstanding organization and leadership abilities.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to think outside of the box.
  • Ability to work with clients and their families to create optimum results.
