POSITION OVERVIEW

The Youth Programs Associate is a part-time position reporting to the Director of School-Based Initiatives. This high-capacity role serves as the primary operational lead for Liga HEB, 6 Stones' character-driven youth soccer league serving junior high students across HEB ISD. The Associate owns the full program experience - from preseason planning through postseason follow-up - ensuring the league runs smoothly, relationships are strong, and students and families are well served. The Associate also provides hands-on support for Operation Back to School, Night of Hope, and the Black and Blue Food Drive as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Liga HEB Operations

The Liga HEB season runs September through April, with preparation beginning in July and follow-up extending through May.

  • Work with the league Commissioner to develop the operational rhythm of the league across the full program year - from building the season timeline and coordinating preseason logistics to facilitating the postseason debrief and closing out the season well

  • Be the primary relationship holder for coaches, volunteers, and league stakeholders, maintaining consistent and timely communication throughout the season

  • Ensure every matchday runs with excellence - managing field setup, equipment, volunteers, referees, safety, and the on-site experience for players and families

  • Maintain the data and records that keep the league accountable in a timely manner - including player rosters, eligibility, statistics, equipment inventory, and referee paysheets

  • Coordinate with the 6 Stones marketing team to ensure the league is well represented through photography, social media, and other communications

  • Plan and execute special events - including the All-Star Game, Champions Cup Finals, and year-end celebrations - with the care and energy these moments deserve

  • Support the health and growth of the program by recruiting volunteers and sponsors, generating quarterly updates, and proactively engaging new opportunities as they arise

Support Signature Events

  • Contribute to the hands-on execution of Operation Back to School, Night of Hope, and the Black and Blue Food Drive - including day-of logistics, volunteer support, and event setup and breakdown as directed

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Organized & dependable - You bring structure to complexity - managing people, schedules, equipment, and data without dropping the ball

  • Relational & trustworthy - You build genuine rapport with coaches, volunteers, students, and families and follow through on what you commit to

  • Adaptable - You stay calm under pressure and solutions-focused when plans change, weather happens, or matchday surprises arise

  • Technically proficient - You're comfortable with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and data tracking tools

  • Physically capable - You're able to lift 30+ lbs and stay active during outdoor events

  • Preferred - Soccer knowledge and/or bilingual (English/Spanish)

SCHEDULE & REQUIREMENTS
