We are currently hiring 1 Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our AbleLiving transitional care bed program in Hagersville at Anson Place. Our transitional care bed program includes 20 beds dedicated to individuals transitioning from hospital to the long-term care or back into the community.  

AbleLiving Services  is a non-profit organization providing personal support services to adults with disabilities living within their own home or one of our independent living facilities. Our clients direct and customize the services they receive and we support them to maximize their independence and enhance their quality of life. We provide services across the Golden Horseshoe in the Mississauga, Burlington, Stoney Creek and Hamilton communities.

Position Summary: 

Under the direction of the program coordinator, is responsible for providing customer service and administrative duties.  Acts as the liaison between staff and office.  Acts as first point of contact for clients and community, responding to service inquiries as assigned.  Conducts client assessments to initiate service. Processes referrals from community and partnering organizations.  Maintains client filing system.  Word processes a variety of forms and documents as required.  

Employment Requirements:

  • College/business diploma in office administration or related certification required, with at minimum one year experience in an office environment. 

  • Must have previous experience with data-base management and report generation. 

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel. 

  • Attention to detail, with accurate keyboarding skills, ability to format letters, forms, memos and general documents are essential for this position. 

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills, with a competent level of English spelling and grammatical accuracy. 

  • Ability to develop supportive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and community partners is an essential role of this position. 

  • Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a team. 

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $21.50/hour
