Job description

Job Title: Fitness Coach - Tillsonburg - Anytime Fitness

Job Summary:

Anytime Fitness is considered to be a premier place to work within the industry, where our mission is to make healthy happen! We are expanding our team of Coaches, which consists of individuals that are highly motivated with a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. This is a position to help grow our expanding coaching program by working in a creative, fun and upbeat atmosphere where every day you get to make a difference.

The Coach’s focus is on executing our best-in-class coaching program to our growing coaching clientele. Each client receives an initial fitness consultation with their membership conducted by the Club Sales Managers; they are responsible for selling our coaching program. Your role as a Coach would be to service our coaching program to our clients by leading them through the pre-programmed workouts in groups of 2-4 people and ensure that they achieve results with the added benefits of motivation, accountability, and knowledge transfer of the coaching program. With access to a facility that includes any/all types of the latest equipment available, the Coach will guide the member to their greatest levels of personal achievement in physical health.

  • Compensation: $18/hour 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Build strong relationships with clients to increase client retention and satisfaction

  • Greet clients at the start of sessions

  • Coach clients in groups of 2-4 people by taking them through the preprogrammed workouts

  • Encourage, motivate, and teach clients to challenge themselves, improve form and technique, and learn new things while working towards getting results

  • Indirectly help Sales Managers sell our coaching service by providing an outstanding experience to all coaching clients and trial coaching clients

  • Assist with general club duties when not running sessions

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Current CPR and personal training certification(s) are required

  • Previous coaching or personal training experience is preferred

  • Superior communication skills with the ability to connect with people while motivating them to achieve their goals

  • Desire to continually learn new principles in the areas of coaching, overall fitness, health and nutrition

  • Passion for helping others

  • Passion for fitness

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
