Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and Program Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational activities and programs designed to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of participants. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities Essential Job Functions Assist the Program Coordinator in creating, organizing, and delivering instructional activities and developing new programs Assist in planning and leading recreational activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and special events. Manage the volunteer base as they provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those requiring additional assistance.

Monitor and support students and mentors during activities, recess, and field trips ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist in the collection of data related to attendance, academic and behavioral goals as directed. Set up and clean up activity areas, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Assist with snack distribution and clean-up during breaks. Qualifications Must have reliable transportation and a current Maryland State driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher preferred.

Must be able to perform the work as required including: Previous experience working with children and teens, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
