Full-time

Job description

Advanced Systems Group, LLC enables creativity through better technology and operations for media creatives and content owners. From acquisition to delivery, on-premises or in the cloud, ASG ensures our clients' success through tailored solutions. One of North America's largest Media and Entertainment Technology and Operations suppliers, we provide engineering services, physical and cloud integration, training, support, and managed services. Our Managed Services deliver customized operations and services for all phases of media production, including creative and engineering. Founded in 1997, and providing nationwide services, ASG has teams based in North America, South America, and Europe.
About the Role:
Join the team that's redefining entertainment programming! As a Programming & Content Specialist, you'll be at the center of shaping the future of our shoppable FAST channel, designing premium content experiences that captivate audiences across linear distribution platforms. Bring your passion for content curation, your knack for creative scheduling, and your insights-driven approach as you help build and grow something truly special.
What You'll Do:
Channel Programming & Scheduling
  • Own and maintain the full channel programming calendar across linear distribution, ensuring every day of the week is scheduled in the best way possible.
  • Build and manage programming blocks, including stunt programming, thematic block programming, and day-parting strategies.
  • Respond to scheduling changes as they arise day to day, coordinating with the broader team to resolve conflicts, gaps, or last-minute adjustments.
  • Attend internal cross-team meetings on a weekly basis to stay current on channel-wide initiatives and maintain proficiency across the entire programming calendar.
  • Ensure accurate metadata, sequencing, and timing for all scheduled content in alignment with platform requirements.

Content Curation & Strategy
  • Curate and program varied content types suited to the channel's identity and audience - with openness to formats such as tastemaker/lifestyle programming or shoppable content models
  • Research and evaluate potential content for licensing, assessing fit for the channel and alignment with shoppability.
  • Apply insights delivered by the data/analytics team to inform curation, block-building, and scheduling decisions.
  • Partner with scheduling and production stakeholders to develop data-informed recommendations for content placement and promotional timing.

Programming Strategy
  • Collaborate with scheduling stakeholders to develop data-driven recommendations for content scheduling and promotional placements, grounding strategic conversations in platform performance evidence.
  • Analyze performance patterns across dayparts, content genres, and audience segments to inform optimal timing and placement of content across the channel lineup.
  • Contribute to long-range programming strategy discussions by providing data context around content mix, acquisition priorities, and scheduling structures.
  • Track competitor and platform-level programming trends to inform internal strategy and identify whitespace opportunities.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Coordinate with content operations and distribution teams to ensure scheduled content is properly ingested, QC'd, and available ahead of air dates.
  • Collaborate with the data/insights team to understand relevant platform performance trends as they apply to scheduling decisions (this role is not responsible for producing performance reports or dashboards).

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Media, Broadcasting, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in content programming, scheduling, or strategy within fast-moving media environments (FAST, OTT, linear, digital).
  • Proven success building engaging programming blocks and implementing day-parted schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and recommend content for licensing or acquisition.
  • Competency with basic data tools-Excel, Google Analytics, and familiarity with dashboards (no coding required!).
  • Ultra-organized with a cool head under pressure and an eagerness to manage busy, fast-changing calendars.
  • Collaborative team player who gets things done across programming, marketing, and operations.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience with shoppable or commerce-driven programming.
  • A track record of scaling new channels or launching verticals in times of rapid growth.

If you're looking to make your mark as a key player in a vibrant, future-focused team-while pushing the boundaries of programming and content curation-this is your chance. Bring your creativity, strategic mindset, and drive. Apply today and help us shape what's next!
