Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Engineering Coordinator. We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering team. The Engineering Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations, contributing to a problem-free experience for both guests and colleagues. 

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service  
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards 
  • Lead the implementation, administration, and ongoing management of Transcendent and ALICE systems for preventative maintenance and work order tracking  
  • Perform office administration duties, including payroll preparation, document management, record keeping, and internal communications  
  • Act as office administrator for GAIA  
  • Maintain and update departmental Health & Safety binders on an ongoing basis  
  • Organize, coordinate, and track hotel and residence preventative maintenance programs  
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor in-house work and external service contractors  
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and service standards 
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.  
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected  
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include: 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills  
  • Experience working in a hotel maintenance environment, including preventative maintenance programs  
  • Ability to remain flexible and consistently re-prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Previous exposure to departmental accounting and administrative tasks  
  • Experience with contractor scheduling and project administration  
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft Windows applications, with the ability to quickly learn web-based systems and software  
  • Experience using property management systems  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
