Within the IS&T organization's SAP Development Team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting essential enterprise applications and constructing the technical backbone that drives Apple’s core functions-including Retail, Services, Finance, Sales and Operations-serving our Business, Partners, and Consumers. IS&T’s SAP team is seeking an experienced SAP Application Engineer for ABAP to join its SAP development team that focuses on designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that enhance and optimize key business processes.
Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Application Engineer - ABAP to design, develop, and work hands-on SAP Retail projects utilizing new SAP technologies. We are looking for an individual with diverse experience to handle the following responsibilities:
- Write and review technical design options to leverage new coding methods in SAP, such as using CDS views, AMDPs, HANA stored procedures, Restful ABAP Programming Model, and advanced OOPs.
- Work on ECC to S/4 HANA migration projects.
- Focus on Test Driven Development, design-thinking, and craftsmanship while delivering business-critical projects.
- Undertake initiatives to explore newer technologies like ABAP Cloud, Restful ABAP Programming Model, and Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS).
- Collaborate with software vendors and SAP on co-innovation ideas.
Preferred Qualifications
Development experience with tools like SAP ADT (Eclipse IDE), Business Application Studio, Postman
Development experience in ABAP Cloud, SAP UI5 & Fiori applications is a plus
Understanding of SAP backend integration with SAP BTP using Cloud Connector and/or SAP CPI, Advanced Event Mesh is a plus
Hands-on S/4 HANA project implementation experience (Brownfield experience preferred) in SAP retail.
Experience utilizing SAP change and transport management tools like Retrace,gCTS or equivalent transport management tool
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of ABAP development experience in SAP projects focusing on technical development, code analysis, code remediation, system integration, and testing.
4 years hands-on programming experience with SAP ABAP RICEFW objects, OData/SOAP web services, HANA stored procedures, AMDP, Restful ABAP programming, side-by-side extensibility and other SAP modern technologies
4 years development experience in Forms (Adobe Forms/Smart Forms/SAP Scripts).
4 years work in SDLC and software craftsmanship with stringent code review process, performance optimization to build resilient, scalable, secure and performant enterprise applications
Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, technology(STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), or other similar field of study.
