We are currently seeking a Senior Programmer/ Programmer II for our West Texas operations. While we prefer local candidates, we are open to hiring non-local candidates for rotation work. This position may be based in Pecos, Texas, or Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Functions and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for programming automation and control systems involving PLCs, HMIs, and RTUs in oil and gas fields, as well as interfacing and communicating with customers on project work.
• Design and create new programs or improve existing programs in a PLC-RTU.
• Exemplifies proper planning, which includes gathering and documenting requirements, documenting all devices in a device layout drawing, conducting evaluations, determining throughput requirements, selecting hardware, and assigning input/output (I/O), as well as generating electrical drawings.
• Capable of providing solutions and recommendations to the client for the required task.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
• Experience with PLC programming development.
• Capable of commissioning control systems, validating control loops, confirming the functionality of control logic, configuring end devices, making program changes to PLCs and HMIs, testing alarms, and ensuring that the control system aligns with engineering documentation and red-line documents for As-Built corrections.
• Advanced skills in Management of Change, design reviews, and process hazard analysis.
• 3-5 Years of Oilfield Programming Experience
• Proficient PLC-RTU Programming Experience
