Do you have experience programming CNC Vertical Milling and 3-axis Gantry machines? Are you passionate about precision machining and optimizing production efficiency? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where your expertise is valued every step of the way?
If so, Precision Signs is looking for a CNC Programmer - Custom Fabricator to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in programming and operating CNC equipment, including HAAS VMCs, Waterjets, and 3-axis Gantry machines. Your expertise in G-code, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes will directly contribute to creating high-quality custom parts and improving production workflows.

What You’ll Do
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, including Vertical Milling Center, Waterjet systems, and 3-axis Gantry machines
  • Develop, prototype, and modify 3D models and toolpaths to optimize machining processes
  • Write, adjust, and optimize G-code to ensure smooth and precise machining
  • Troubleshoot machining errors, programming challenges, and equipment issues to improve efficiency
  • Design and fabricate custom fixtures to ensure material stability during machining
  • Collaborate with the production, design, and quality teams to align on project goals; Inspect and test parts to meet strict quality standards
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience programming and operating CNC VMCs, with a deep understanding of G-code (HAAS experience preferred)
  • Certification or degree in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or a related field
  • Experience with 3-axis Gantry machines like Waterjets and Techno routers
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM (Autodesk Inventor, Aspire/Carve) software for creating and modifying machining programs 
  • Attention to detail and a passion for high-quality custom work
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to operate manual machines (e.g., Bridgeport) is a plus
