Job description

Building Automation DDC Programmer

My client is a top notch Building Automation and Energy Management company that is actively seeking a BAS Programmer or Engineer with strong DDC knowledge. JCI familiarity to the front of the line!

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Possesses complete technical competence on DDC systems with the ability to resolve or guide others through very complex problem resolution. Customer interaction is in-depth and proactive to include a complete understanding of current systems and the foresight to recommend and plan for enhancements.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• program DDC systems
• Ensure proper operation of all Building control sequences.
• Test inputs/outputs to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure all specified alarms are configured & tested
• Develop site graphics
• Provide training to end users as assigned
• Ensure continuous and proper operation of Building Automation System Programs
• Program controls to integrate building systems
• Read, write, and modify programming software for multiple controls manufacturers
• Interact with Mechanical Engineers, contractors, commissioning agents, and contractors to field verify problem areas and initiate corrections
• Work independently and with others to solve day to day DDC/BAS related problems
• Read and interpret Mechanical, Control drawings, and sequences of operation for programming and commissioning
• Set up and troubleshoot new site workstations and networks when necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field. Degree may be offset by five years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems. Five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment. Ability to act independently and to coordinate the work of others on a job site. Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people. PC experience required and the ability to program DDC software.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES
• Experience or certification in one or more of the following systems:
o Schneider/Andover, Delta, Niagara AX/N4, Alerton
Willingness to travel but not required
