Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs using Mastercam to support efficient and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will work closely with machinists, engineers, managers, and quality personnel to ensure parts are produced accurately, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for mills and/or lathes

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models

  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting strategies to maximize efficiency and tool life

  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the shop floor

  • Collaborate with machinists and management to ensure programs run accurately and efficiently

  • Support first-article inspections and make program adjustments as needed

  • Maintain program documentation and revision control

  • Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and production standards

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam or other programming software

  • Solid understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

  • Experience with mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
