Purpose

Translate vision, ministry and programmatic strategies into communication and marketing plans, messages, and materials to inform and engage with church audiences across multiple media and digital platforms.


Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy aligned with Chapel Pointe vision, guided by core values with the outcome being to help people engage in next steps in discipleship
  • Define and track key communication metrics (engagement, reach, next steps, attendance impact) and use insights to refine strategy
  • Build and implement scalable systems, workflows, and tools that support communication across ministries
  • Oversee project management systems and processes to ensure to keep multiple initiatives on track simultaneously
  • Serve as the primary steward of the Chapel Pointe brand, ensuring consistency across all ministries, platforms, and campaigns
  • Lead creative direction for all design and promotional materials related to church-wide activities ensuring creativity, excellence and effectiveness
  • Develop and multiply leaders (both staff and volunteer) within the communication department
  • Develop policy and procedures related to media relations and crisis communication


Digital Communication & Social Media

  • Lead all efforts related to the creation, strategy, and execution of Chapel Pointe digital communication channels including the website, app, social media, and other platforms
  • Oversee the user experience, content strategy and functionality across all digital channels
  • Oversee execution of the weekly livestream experience in partnership with production
  • Develop platform specific strategies to increase engagement on various social media (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram)
  • Lead messaging and strategy for social media advertising campaigns
  • Ensure digital platforms (e.g., website) remain up to date and current in its functionality


Ministry Support

  • Execute all deliverables needed for Sunday Services
  • Project manage all ministry campaigns to ensure execution of deliverables on time, on budget and on brand
  • Partner with ministry leaders to translate their goals into clear, actionable communication plans
  • Execute inside marketing campaigns for ministry events


Director Responsibilities

  • Execute team performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide feedback for salary increases
  • Support the hiring, performance management, discipleship and promotion processes for the digital ministries team
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets to ensure fiscal health and alignment
  • Implement long-term strategies to ensure operational success and sustainability

Professional Qualifications
