Job description

Senior Programmatic Media Manager

Citi is evolving its current commerce offerings and branching into new avenues of growth by offering merchants access to high value cardmembers across Citi's digital properties and partner placements. By combining Citi's scale, trusted customer relationships, and real purchase insights, the business delivers advertising that is relevant to customers and drives measurable, incremental impact for advertisers.

We're building Citi Commerce from the ground up, and we're looking for a programmatic media subject matter expert who knows how to translate client objectives into flawless campaign execution. Someone who is equally comfortable setting a long-term team vision and rolling up their sleeves on technical requirements, and who takes pride in building campaigns that perform, scale, and evolve with the market.

If you've spent your career working in large-scale programmatic media teams and you're ready for the challenge of a lifetime, this is the role.

The Senior Programmatic Media Manager will play a critical role in executing and scaling Citi Commerce operations, reporting directly to the Programmatic Media Group Manager. This individual will own campaign execution excellence, drive process rigor, and help build the operational foundation required to support rapid growth across Citi's commerce media platform.

This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings deep technical ad ops expertise, and is eager to help shape best practices in a build-from-scratch organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute end-to-end campaign operations, including setup, trafficking, QA, and delivery across multiple channels
  • Manage campaign lifecycle from IO to completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and performance alignment
  • Monitor campaign pacing, troubleshoot delivery issues, and proactively optimize performance
  • Support inventory management across Citi-owned and operated properties, ensuring effective utilization
  • Activate and manage audience segments using Citi first-party data and partner platforms
  • Partner closely with Sales, Planning, and Product teams to ensure campaigns meet advertiser goals
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues (e.g., discrepancies, under-delivery, tagging errors)
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of ad operations processes and workflows
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve campaign execution and scalability
  • Deliver clear reporting and insights on campaign performance to internal stakeholders
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 610 years of experience in Ad Operations, Programmatic, or Campaign Management within a publisher, ad network, or commerce media environment
  • Experience managing campaign launches and executions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Experience optimizing campaign delivery and pacing performance
  • Experience managing operational playbooks and standardized workflows
  • Experience generating campaign reporting outputs and performance insights
  • Experience inputting into inventory utilization and yield optimization
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred (Highly preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field)

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with ad tech platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DV360, or similar ad servers and DSPs)
  • Deep expertise in campaign trafficking, including tag setup, pixel implementation, QA, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with audience/data platforms (e.g., LiveRamp, CDPs, clean rooms)
  • Solid understanding of digital media measurement frameworks and KPIs
  • Experience executing both onsite (owned & operated) and offsite (programmatic, social) campaigns
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Why Join Citi Commerce

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the foundational team building a next-generation commerce platform. You'll play a critical role in enabling the technology and data systems that power campaign execution, measurement, and attributionhelping connect media exposure to real purchase behavior at scale.
