Pay Grade: 798 (Hourly Minimum of $29.54) Actual salary based on experience.
Work Days:  226
Primary Purpose:


  • Responsible for day-to-day support for the Assistant Superintendent of Strategy and Innovation and facilitate the efficient operation of the department, as well as support for Professional Learning and Legal Services/Policy.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Exemplary organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to work on several tasks at the same time
  • Ability to detail proof district documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Tools, and file maintenance

Experience:

  • Minimum three years of work-related experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain effective communications and create an atmosphere of customer service for campus administrators, department leadership, staff, and vendors
  • Serve as a liaison for Strategy and Innovation to other district departments
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding issues involving personnel, the school board, students, parents, vendors, and the general community
  • Prepare annual budget for the Assistant Superintendent of Strategy and Innovation, including assisting with all departments of Strategy and Innovation (PL, Legal Services/Policy)
  • Assist Strategy and Innovation departments with accounting and other needs
  • Coordinate all travel related matters involving conferences, trips, etc. In addition, maintain individual American Express Corporate Card payments and reimbursements
  • Prepare needed agenda items for School Board meetings and weekly School Board update
  • Prepare correspondence, forms, documents, and reports for Assistant Superintendent of Strategy and Innovation and other department staff members
  • Maintain and update the electronic calendar and filing system for Assistant Superintendent
  • Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from supervisor
  • Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned by the Administration and/or supervisor
