Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of students and families, developing individualized treatment plans that reflect best practices and solution-oriented strategies.
• Implement a range of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring your approach to each student’s unique situation and needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation that complies with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards, ensuring that all patient information is managed responsibly.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate effective treatment and support for each student.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings, contributing to ongoing professional development and enhancing the overall quality of care.
• Educate and support patients and their families on mental health issues, empowering them with knowledge of treatment options and local community resources.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health, integrating these insights into your clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve students in school settings, addressing their mental health needs in collaboration with educators and families. You’ll work closely with a diverse client population, including children and adolescents facing various emotional and psychological challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your expertise will significantly contribute to their academic success and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution, demonstrating your educational background and expertise.
• Hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation in the state of Texas, signifying your commitment to ethical and professional practice.
• Have a minimum of three years of clinical experience, particularly in providing psychotherapy services to children and adolescents.
