MRI Technologist (PRN / Part-Time)

We are seeking three skilled, patient-centric MRI Technologists to join our team on a PRN or Part-Time basis. If you are looking for predictable evening and weekend shifts that respect your work-life balance while allowing you to deliver exceptional patient care, this is the perfect fit.

Available Shifts & Schedule:

  • Mondays & Thursdays: 4:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM โ€“ 3:00 PM
  • Ideal for techs seeking consistent part-time hours or a rewarding PRN role.

Position Overview & Core Responsibilities:

As an integral part of our imaging team, you will utilize your advanced scanning expertise to deliver high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring a safe, supportive, and low-anxiety environment for our patients.

  • Clinical Excellence: Select and operate magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, and physiologic gating equipment. Safely position patients to optimize anatomical visualization.
  • Patient Care & Safety: Educate patients on the scanning process to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation. Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety protocols.
  • Vascular Access: Establish IV access for contrast studies utilizing standard phlebotomy and universal precautions.
  • Interventional Support: Assist radiologists with minimally invasive procedures, including ultrasound-guided arthrograms.
  • Operational Flow: Collaborate on patient scheduling to maximize equipment utilization, ensure accurate procedural charge captures, and assist with onboarding new team members when needed.
  • Compliance: Maintain absolute patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and participate in annual required safety training (CPR, OSHA).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (CAHEA/JRCERT approved).
  • Certification: Active certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensure: Valid and active Mississippi state licensure.
  • Experience: Proven competency in performing high-quality magnetic resonance procedures and a strong foundation in cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A pleasant, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, staff, and reading radiologists.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Requires a full range of body motion, including the ability to assist, handle, and lift patients (occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; team-assist up to 100 lbs).
  • Involves standard periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Normal visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity are required for optimal equipment operation.
  • Standard clinical environment with routine exposure to conditions typical of an imaging center (magnetic fields, contrast agents, and medical preparations).
