The Opportunity
The Program Support Services Manager is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of programs that provide a variety of meaningful activities to meet the physical, psychological, social, emotional and/or spiritual needs of residents.
What Is In It For You

  • Supports Resident Documentation Requirements including Resident Assessment/Re-assessment, Care Planning, MDS Coding, and Progress Notes.

  • Supports resident and family councils.

  • Maintains a calendar of recreational & social activities that support the interests, needs and cultural diversity of residents.

  • Coordinates/facilitates recreation programs, special events, outings & entertainment.

  • Coordinates the Volunteer Program including student and co-op placements.

  • Coordinates religious and spiritual program opportunities.

  • Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Administrator.


What You Will Need

  • A post-secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field such as Kinesiology or Gerontology and related experience specific to providing recreation and leisure services in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors.

  • Provincial certification for safe food handling.

  • Certificate in Volunteer Management is preferred.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearSalary placement based on qualifications and experience.
