Job description

Job Summary:
The Program Supervisor assists the Assistant Program Director to ensure program operations are conducted in accordance with the Policies and Procedures and contract requirements. The Program Supervisor provides leadership presence in the program outside of normal business hours and when the Program Director and Assistant Program Director are not on site. The Program Supervisor ensures all shift responsibilities are completed with consistency and quality, provides support and direction to Program Monitors by organizing and delegating tasks and role modeling professionalism and prosocial behavior. This is a full-time, 40-hrs./week, non-exempt position that will be working in our Boston, MA (Coolidge House) location.This position is eligible for benefits and has an hourly rate starting at $23-$25/hr. with shift differential.
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-11:00pm
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists with training of new staff and provides training, coaching, and support to existing staff
  • Effectively delegates daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Organize and lead a team of Program Monitors each shift so the daily tasks are completed in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective and strengths-based coaching to Program Monitors and report feedback on their performance to the Assistant Director in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain work schedule of Program Monitor staff.
  • Assist with training of new and existing staff.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of operational and resident activities on each shift. This includes resident accountability, drug testing, medication control, facility rounds, resident meals, etc.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents in a timely, safe, and appropriate manner; this includes completion of reports and notifications to senior staff.
  • Assign and conduct monthly fire drills, room searches, vehicle searches, drug tests, chemical audits and monthly property room audits.
  • Ensure the security camera system is fully operational and always monitored.
  • Identify and report facility maintenance needs and submit concerns to the Assistant Director in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facility, complete sanitation reports, and ensure resident cleaning details are consistently assigned and completed with quality.
  • Attend staff meetings and other meetings and trainings as required.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation which includes being available to respond to after-hours issues and provide shift coverage if necessary.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent or two years' related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Entry level supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in residential, community correction program, security preferred
