Sterling Engineering is seeking a Program Manager (Talent Acquisition) to support the launch of a brand-new manufacturing facility in Omaha, NE. This unique opportunity allows you to join the project well before the facility opens and build the foundation for future hiring efforts. In this role, you'll develop recruiting strategies, establish relationships with local universities and community organizations, create talent pipelines, and help build the employer brand throughout the Omaha area. The position is remote initially and will transition to an on-site role in Omaha as the project progresses.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to support the launch of a new manufacturing facility.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for future manufacturing, engineering, operations, and skilled trades positions.
- Establish partnerships with local universities, technical schools, workforce development organizations, and community groups.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Help establish and promote the employer brand throughout the Omaha market.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop long-term recruiting plans.
- Create sourcing strategies to support future high-volume hiring initiatives.
- Track recruiting metrics, market trends, and pipeline activity to ensure hiring readiness.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting within a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience building recruiting strategies and talent pipelines.
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with employer branding, campus recruiting, or community outreach is highly desirable.
- Must be willing to transition to an on-site role in Omaha, NE as the project progresses.
