Position Title: Program Manager
About the Role: The Program Manager role is critical to the success of defense projects, and we're looking for a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of program management in a manufacturing context. This role gives you full ownership of high-stakes programs, with a focus on financial accountability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction. Candidates will face the challenge of turning around programs that are currently underperforming, requiring resilience and strategic thinking. The environment is dynamic and requires an individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate across various teams. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing organization focused on defense solutions.
Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 / Year DOE
Program Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead programs with full accountability for financials, schedules, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage high visibility and high-risk programs, often in turnaround situations
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government program offices
  • Ensure adherence to schedules and manage program updates
  • Prepare and present financial reports and program status to senior leadership
  • Oversee program execution, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense requirements

Program Manager Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of program management experience in a manufacturing capacity for Department of Defense projects
  • Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience managing programs with budgets of at least $1 million
  • An engineering or technical background is required
  • Defense industry program management experience is required
  • Experience with struggling programs is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to defend ideas and objectives are preferred
  • A degree in engineering or a technical field is preferred
  • Experience in high-complexity, low-volume production is preferred
  • Track record of turning around struggling programs is preferred
  • A Navy program background is preferred
