The Spectrum Superiority sector of L3Harris is on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Program Manager to propel a high-performing cross-functional team towards success on a flagship missile defense program. In this pivotal role, you will be the right hand to the Senior Program Manager, guiding the team through every phase of the execution lifecycle and ensuring flawless strategic management of cost, schedule, and technical performance across all integrated product teams (IPTs).

You will have the responsibility of working with the technical and functional leads, developing program status, and sharing progress updates with internal and customer stakeholders. Your expertise will shine as you support teams in crafting risk management and opportunity plans and collaborate with the Senior Program Manager to swiftly resolve any supplier issues that might impact the program's success.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and control project progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage performance in key areas including technical scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Administer program budgets, approve variances in monthly performance, and generate comprehensive spend plans, payment forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Provide financial and programmatic reporting guidance across program resources, ensuring compliance with internal policies and basic earned value management (EVM) principles.
  • Manage program-level changes and lead proposal development efforts for engineering change proposals (ECPs) or other contractual updates.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans, manage project changes, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Achieve L3Harris and Customer objectives, including on-time delivery, exceptional quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional leads to gather progress status and prepare for recurring customer reviews.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% to domestic locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience is required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in Government Contracting/Subcontracting
  • Proven track record as a Cost Account Manager managing budgets and sales forecasting for subcontracts
  • Expertise in navigating FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR regulations, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
  • Background in SATCOM and/or missile defense programs is a plus
  • Proficiency in managing various cost-type contracts: including cost plus award fee, cost plus incentive fee, and cost-plus fixed fee
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance
