Summary:
As Project Manager II, you lead and manage multiple large cross-functional projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage resources, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality results within specified timelines and budgets. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Initiate projects by defining scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance, ensuring timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
  • Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, milestones achieved, and any potential issues or risks.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring proper allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, or objectives.
  • Adapt quickly to changes and guide the team through transitions while maintaining project momentum.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Generate regular status reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
  • Address project-related issues promptly, employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Make informed decisions based on data analysis, team input, and project requirements advocating in the best interests of the project
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Engage in continuous improvement within the PMO and processes.

Qualifications/Skills:
Required:
  • 3+ years' experience in leading teams and managing medium to large projects
  • Exceptional understanding of Project Management terms, techniques, and processes.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances and decisions
  • Proactive and forward-looking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills

  • Understanding application development, software development life cycle concepts, and new product development.
  • Experience with the organization's core software applications, including Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or similar, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project Online, SharePoint, Teams

Preferred:
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company with knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Prior leadership and team building experience
  • Focused education in Project Management, Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, and/or Engineering
