Position Summary

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing luxury residential and construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking hands-on experience in high-end construction within a collaborative, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Assist in managing multiple residential construction projects simultaneously
  • Support scheduling, budgeting, and procurement processes
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients
  • Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Documentation & Administration

  • Maintain project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Track project progress, costs, and timelines
  • Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and status reports

Field Support

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of workmanship
  • Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating with site supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes

Client & Team Communication

  • Support communication between clients, architects, and internal teams
  • Help maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination (residential experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction/project management software is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to high-end or custom residential construction
  • Familiarity with budgeting, estimating, and scheduling tools
  • Experience working with architects and design teams
