Austin Surgical (Encore Medical) is an orthopedic implant and instrument design, development, and manufacturing facility.

Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

This entry level position helps, plans, and executes medical education events for the department. To be successful in this position, the team member must possess a high-level of organizational and collaborative skills. This person will be working tirelessly to assist the Program Manager(s) and others on the team with the execution of industry-leading educational events and programs, including documenting event data in our electronic systems and assisting with event invoice and expense management. Must also possess a deep attention to detail, great communication skills, and follow through as the job responsibilities are performed with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Reporting: Gather and compile key metric data on all events and programs to assist the Program Manager and Director with reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with all appropriate stakeholders to assist with program/event logistics, expenses, purchase orders, and post-event reconciliation when applicable.
  • Database and Project Plan Maintenance: Assist with maintenance of data base that tracks number of events and event attendees and maintain and improve event project plans that track program/event milestones and budgets.
  • Medical Education Program Planning: Assist with processes outlined in the Project Plan and as assigned by the Program Manager to ensure successful execution of event types as assigned.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate ongoing and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Detail-Oriented Implementation: Consistently exhibit exceptional attention to detail across all phases of program management, including planning, execution, follow-up, and documentation.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, Engineering, Professional Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and entire Medical Education team.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher with minimum of 1 year work experience
  • Experience in medical device related field is a plus, but not required
  • Event management/planning experience is preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 10-15%, domestically

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
