About Seattle Angels

Seattle Angels wraps community around children, youth, and families experiencing foster care through intentional giving, relationship-building, and mentorship. Through our Love Box® and Dare to Dream® programs, we ensure families never have to navigate foster care alone.


Position Summary

Seattle Angels is seeking a relationship-driven Development Director to lead fundraising, donor engagement, marketing, and communications. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for growing philanthropic revenue, increasing community awareness, and inspiring generosity through authentic storytelling and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities


Fundraising & Partnerships

  • Develop and execute Seattle Angels' annual fundraising strategy.
  • Grow revenue through individual giving, monthly giving, grants, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, events, and community fundraising.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, foundations, businesses, and community partners.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to strengthen fundraising efforts and expand philanthropic support.


Marketing & Communications

  • Lead Seattle Angels' external marketing and communications strategy to increase awareness, strengthen our brand, and support fundraising goals.
  • Manage social media, website content, newsletters, impact reports, marketing materials, and the Google Ad Grant.
  • Create compelling donor appeals, campaigns, presentations, and other communications that inspire generosity.
  • Collaborate with staff to capture and share stories that highlight the impact of our programs.


Events & Operations

  • Lead the annual auction and donor engagement events.
  • Represent Seattle Angels at networking events, community presentations, and partnership meetings.
  • Maintain donor records in Neon CRM, track fundraising metrics, and prepare reports for leadership and the Board.


Qualifications


Required

  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, marketing, communications, or relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships and generating revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience using CRM software and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.


Compensation & Benefits


Salary: $78,000–$84,000 annually, depending on experience
