Are you a strategic leader with the expertise to manage complex software lifecycles for the world's most iconic fighter jet? The 309th Software Engineering Group (309 SWEG) is seeking a Lead Program Management Specialist to serve as the backbone of the F-16 Block 30 Operational Flight Program (OFP).
In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-performing team of 10 professionals dedicated to delivering war-winning software solutions. You won't just manage tasks; you will be the guardian of the F-16's configuration integrity, ensuring that every software update is delivered with the highest quality, on schedule, and within budget to keep our warfighters ahead of the curve.
What You'll Accomplish:
- Lead & Inspire a Multi-Disciplinary Team: Act as the primary Team Lead for 10 technical and administrative professionals. You will drive success through expert workload distribution, performance mentorship, and clear communication of mission-critical goals.
- Command the F-16 Configuration: Take ownership of the F-16 Block 30 OFP Configuration Management. Your expertise will ensure the continuity and integrity of the software that powers one of the Air Force's most vital combat assets.
- Drive Strategic Excellence: Serve as a Project Manager conducting high-level studies and analyses across organizational lines. You will identify innovative ways to improve mission effectiveness and optimize resource allocation for the entire F-16 OFP.
- Forge Global Partnerships: Represent the organization as a key liaison within the F-16 community. You will build and foster relationships with stakeholders and customers, addressing complex concerns and providing the research-backed recommendations that shape the program's future.
- Safeguard Program Integrity: Act as the fail-safe for the program's success. Your oversight will prevent critical task oversights, protecting the project's adherence to rigorous schedules and budgetary commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor and motivate the staff of an organization.
2. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
3. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
4. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
7. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
