Senior Director of Procurement
Global Sourcing amp; Manufacturing | Cabinets, Countertops, Flooring, Tile amp; Stone
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director of Procurement to lead and scale our global sourcing and procurement strategy across manufacturing partners in Asia. This executive role is responsible for end-to-end procurement leadership, including supplier strategy, manufacturing sourcing, quality assurance, logistics and shipping, risk mitigation, redundancy planning, and high-stakes commercial negotiations. This role involves managing a sourcing and procurement team currently based in China.
The ideal candidate brings their deep experience in building materials and finishes, a strong on-the-ground understanding of Asian manufacturing, and a proven ability to balance cost, quality, speed, and resilience in complex global supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
  • Global Procurement amp; Sourcing Strategy
    • Own and execute a global procurement strategy for cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, and sinks
    • Maintain and expand a developed and diversified supplier base across Asia and US manufacturers.
    • Drive long-term sourcing strategies that balance cost optimization, quality, capacity, and risk
  • Manufacturing amp; Supplier Management
    • Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage overseas manufacturers and vendors
    • Lead factory audits, capability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Establish and enforce supplier scorecards covering quality, delivery, cost, and compliance
  • Quality amp; Compliance
    • Oversee global quality standards, inspection programs, and corrective action processes
    • Ensure compliance with company specifications, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards
    • Partner with internal QA/QC teams to reduce defects, claims, and rework
  • Logistics, Shipping amp; Risk Management
    • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping modes, lead times, and landed cost
    • Develop redundancy and contingency plans to mitigate geopolitical, operational, and supply disruptions
    • Proactively assess and manage supplier, country, and logistics risk
  • Negotiations amp; Commercial Leadership
    • Lead high-value supplier negotiations, including pricing, MOQs, capacity commitments, tooling, and payment terms
    • Structure contracts that protect quality, supply continuity, and long-term partnership value
    • Drive year-over-year cost improvement while maintaining product integrity
  • Leadership amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, product, operations, quality, and finance teams
    • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing procurement and sourcing teams
    • Provide executive-level reporting on sourcing performance, risk exposure, and opportunities
Qualifications amp; Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain leadership
  • Proven specialization in manufactured building products, specifically, cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, and/or stone
  • Extensive hands-on sourcing experience in major Asian manufacturing countries such as China, Vietnam, Korea, Cambodia, and Thailand
  • Strong background in factory sourcing, quality systems, and international logistics
  • Expert negotiator with a track record of securing favorable long-term supplier agreements
  • Demonstrated experience managing supply chain risk, redundancy, and continuity planning
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
  • Strong professional references required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship (US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other valid work authorization)
