ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION:

The YouthVantage Alliance was created to empower children and teens to discover their full potential. Building upon nearly 50 years of success, the YouthVantage Alliance is home to the organizations youโ€™ve known and trusted โ€“ Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, Tarrant County Kids and introducing Vantage Point.


Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, facilitating, and administering Girls Inc. Whole-Girl programs focused on social-emotional learning, resiliency, growth mindset, confidence, wellness, leadership development, media literacy, STEM exposure, and college/career planning. This position will serve 750-100 girls annually, facilitating sessions during school hours and after school. Each session will include 15-20 girls, with in-school sessions lasting 50 minutes and after-school sessions lasting 1-2 hours. As the key liaison between schools and the organization, the coordinator will integrate into each schoolโ€™s culture, working with girls from elementary to high school. This position works closely with our program managers who coordinate STEM, college readiness, and workforce readiness programs for our high school girls.

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and typically operates between 8 am and 6 pm, with occasional Saturdays and evenings during the school year and summer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:


Program Recruitment and Delivery

  • Deliver agency-approved programs, including social-emotional learning, media literacy, and career planning
  • Collaborate with STEM, Workforce, and College teams to provide girls with additional programming opportunities
  • Assist in developing lesson plans using organizational resources to ensure program effectiveness
  • Serve as the liaison between students, families, and school staff, fostering consistent communication and program integration
  • Support recruitment and retention efforts by generating community interest
  • Periodically meet parents to explain program goals, discuss student progress, and encourage family involvement

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Collect and manage attendance, impact data, and program outcomes to meet grant and contract requirements
  • Collect, track, and submit all required documentation and reports for program participants and activities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor program outcomes and assess program effectiveness through periodic evaluations, pre and post tests and surveys to measure outcomes

Volunteer and Intern Engagement

  • Oversee and support volunteers and student workers, ensuring they are equipped to assist in program delivery
  • Provide feedback and recognition to volunteers and student workers to encourage ongoing involvement

Related Agency Activities

  • Regularly assess personal performance and set professional goals.
  • Attend staff meetings, town halls, and principal meetings; collaborate with staff to meet goals and engage the community in offering Girls Inc. programs.
  • Participate in all required reporting and deadlines at the organizational level, including but not limited to those related to expense management, mileage, and grant requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires the ability to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment, and the physical ability to perform light lifting. Work is typically performed in an office, in the community, or classroom setting, and may involve standing, stooping, bending, and walking. However, the agency will make accommodations when necessary. This person may be required to travel to various locations throughout Tarrant County. Generally, the working conditions have little or no exposure to extremes in safety hazards or hazardous materials.
