Responsibilities:

Responsible for accounting and auditing duties including organizing client assignments and projects, the completion of tasks and project components. As part of a professional team, perform the following duties: Work with GAAP and common audit procedures and techniques to perform assigned auditing tasks; Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete audit/accounting engagement with a minimum disruption to the client; Assist in planning the hours and manpower needed on jobs and assist with leading multiple auditing engagements by supporting less senior accounting staff in various levels of each engagement; review work papers and audit reports for accuracy; Develop a working knowledge of client business; Assist with drafting financial statements, related disclosures and reportable conditions letters for clients; and Assist with identifying and communicating technical matters as it relates to GAAP to both clients and upper management. Perform above duties using programs and tools such as ProSystem Engagement (Audit and Tax) and Advanced Microsoft Excel. Position is based out of Houston, TX office but telecommuting may be permitted up to 1 to 2 day(s) per week from within normal commuting distance.

Minimum requirements:

Masters degree in accounting, accountancy, or business administration (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) and 2 years pre or post-Masters experience performing public accounting and auditing duties using Advanced Microsoft Excel and ProSystem Engagement. Special Requirements: Position requires a Texas CPA license. Basic annual pay range is seventy-seven thousand eighty-five dollars to one hundred thousand dollars per year for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
